This is what we stand for
The changes that are taking place in health care have inspired us to set a goal for the future. A bold goal, in fact. A challenging view for the future that might seem impossible, but which isn’t if everyone commits to it and believes in it.

Our bold goal is: In 2025 the people of Den Bosch and surroundings give their health care wellbeing the highest rating of the Netherlands. Health care wellbeing is a word that is coined by JBZ employees. It is all about what people deem important regarding healthcare and wellbeing in their daily life. Machteld Huber’s concept of Positive Health relates well to this and has been embraced by the Jeroen Bosch Ziekenhuis.
To reach our bold goal, we work together intensively with (health care) partners in the region, and we increasingly use modern information technology and health care technology. We also shift our focus from disease to health and we aim our attention at what people do are able to do. This, of course, while still giving the best health care possible. Fitting in with our status of JCI accredited training hospital.
Simply, because you matter to us
Thinking with ‘positive health’ in mind helps us in realising the bold goal. In positive health, the quality of life is the centre of attention. Together we determine what you need and who you need, to make sure you can live the life you want as long as possible. We use all of our expertise to help you and we look for cooperation, for example, with your family and friends, your GP, the municipality and home care. Simply, because you matter to us.
No other hospital has yet surpassed us in applying positive health in our daily practice. We learn by doing, and we love to share the knowledge and experience that we gain with other hospitals and care providers. Together with Radboudumc, Institute for Positive Health and Tilburg University we do research on the effect of working with positive health in mind.
